Fifth-generation winemaker Ross Gehrig is proudly guiding the next chapter of John Gehrig Wines.
With a wine science degree and vintage experience across France, Israel and Australia, Ross blends modern knowledge with old-school instincts. But one belief always comes first: great wine is made in the vineyard.

It all starts between the rows. Careful vineyard management, attention to seasonal conditions, and a relentless focus on flavour guide every decision. In the winery, the goal is simple: protect the quality of the fruit and let it shine. Wines are crafted to be full flavoured, true to varietal style, and respectful of classic traditions, with the freedom to push boundaries when it genuinely improves the result.
By combining contemporary winemaking science with time-honoured techniques, Ross creates wines that honour past generations, inspire the next, and most importantly, bring people together. Because at the end of the day, a good wine should leave you smiling. And we’re working on creating plenty of those.

2013 Durif bought at the cellar door, this is drinking beyond comprehension from start to finish the dark plum colours are incredible combined with a finish that lingers. 100 points, a very memorable wine well worth the wait.

Popped in on a whim for a quick tasting and was genuinely impressed, especially by the Rieslings. Super tasty across the range. We picked up an aged Riesling that leaned a little sweeter, which I loved, and they even threw in a free bottle with our purchase. Really friendly service and a more warehouse-style setup, nothing fancy, just focused on the wine.
